About Inside Orleans

Inside Orleans is an independent guide to business and community life in Orleans, Ottawa's east end. We are not affiliated with any chamber of commerce, business improvement area, or municipal body. The site exists because Orleans deserves a dedicated resource that treats it as what it is: a real community with its own identity, not just a suburb on the way to somewhere else.

Everything here is written with locals and newcomers in mind. We cover restaurants and cafes, shopping, professional services, events, and the practical details of settling into the neighbourhood. Our goal is to be the kind of guide a good neighbour would offer: honest, specific, and actually useful. If a bakery on St-Joseph Boulevard is worth the trip, we will tell you. If a particular neighbourhood suits young families better than retirees, we will say that too.
