Jarrod Goldsmith, Sax Appeal

maxresdefaultQ: What milestone are you celebrating?
Sax Appeal is celebrating its five year anniversary!

Q: Provide a brief description of your business.
Sax Appeal is a unique professional saxophone ensemble whose specialty is to provide live music to enhance the ambiance of functions that require the finest of touches.

With our distinctive sound (ONLY saxophones), Sax Appeal provides a unique musical experience by playing jazz music, classical music, or everything in-between for literally any event, ranging from weddings to retirement communities to cocktail receptions to Christmas festivities.

To make any event truly unforgettable, you need to have an ensemble that is as equally distinctive!

Q: What factors have helped you to successfully reach this particular milestone?
Becoming an active member of the community is a big part on why Sax Appeal is still in business. Consistently attending Chamber of Commerce events in order to build a brand takes years.

Q: What has been your most memorable moment in business?
When the BBC contacted us to use a sample of music they found on our YouTube channel for a Monty Python reunion documentary program.

Q: What’s one interesting thing about your business that people might not be aware of?
Sax Appeal also books other musical acts for whatever kind of band you’re looking for.

Q: What is the biggest challenge you have overcome as a business to reach this milestone?
An all-saxophone ensemble is quite unique. Very few people have ever heard of a group like this, let alone would be actively looking for one. Challenge was that Jarrod Goldsmith had to literally create a new market. This involved a tremendous amount of networking!

Q: Describe how your business started, and how it’s changed over the years.
It took thousands of hours of networking to build the brand, reputation and trust. In so doing, eSAX – The Entrepreneur Social Advantage Experience was born. Here is a short documentary about how Sax Appeal got started! http://goo.gl/LrGAAC

Q: What can we expect from your business in the future? Are there any plans on the horizon you would like people to know about?
Becoming known as the ensemble to hire for any event that needs to be remembered.

Expect to see plenty more of Sax Appeal during the 2017 year-long celebrations! http://saxappeal.ca
